Week 2 = Failure

Week one was good but following on the heels was week 2 which was less than stellar. I have to admit I was unprepared and too busy. I ate out too much while i was on the run and the frozen pizzas didn't add much either - except for calories. So what can we take from this?

planing is very important - if you know your week is going to be hectic then plan ahead. Maybe make a meal plan for the week or at least for the first few days to get you started.

preparation is also important - If i had prepared my suppers and lunches better I could have avoided the quick dinners and on the run meals. Also preparing the veggies or part of the meal ahead of time helps. Then you just have to cook it and its done. I major time saver and is great when your tired after work.

on the other hand I have been successfully saying no (for he most part)  to the left over cookies and high calorie dessert at work.

This week I plan to set up my treadmill that came in the mail. I have to admit I splurged. Its one of those incline treadmills. I figure it is a good investment as I live in a semi-rural area with no sidewalks and sometimes no shoulder. One always has to be vigilant of cars. Also with winter coming (or is it here already?) it will be nice to be able to get cardio in with out having to get drenched or contend with snow. Apparently (people are saying) its is suppose to be a bad winter. Whether that means a lot of snow or rain I don't know. But not battling the elements wins my vote.

Well I'm off to work,

I hope  you are all well,

Until next time.....

My First Two Goals Underway

Ok, so my first mini goal is too lose 10 pounds which will bring me down to 190lbs. This is the weight I was a year or two ago when i was living on campus at university. I was walking across campus everything (which no matter which way you went included stairs) and was making an effort to eat healthier (although I was still feeding my carb addiction with chips and mini-eggs). So yes, my first goal is to get back down to the lowest weight I was in recent history.
My second goal is to start saving for my tropical vacation. I'm not sure exactly where yet, but Mexico, Hawaii, Cuba, and the like are all still in the running. although I'll have to in the off season when its not too hot. Being a part head with fair skin means i don't do heat well and DO NOT  tan.Thats right! No 40C and above heat for me!!! With all my other commitments like rent, gas, student loans, car insurance, and car payment all wanting a piece of my paycheck it may take me a little while to save. Also cause I am an on-call causal I have no guarantee of work. I may get full time, part time, the odd shift, or nothing at all. So we shall see how the savings go. In the mean time I can make my own tropical drinks to get me through this cold weather. My car is now all icy in the morning when i leave for those REALLY early morning shifts.

I hope the sun is smiling down on you where ever you may be,

Until next time.....

Introduction

Welcome one and all. Here at Tales from the Fat Pirate you will follow my journey through life and wight loss. I am Caucasian, 24 years old, and female. My height is 5'7-5'8 and 203lbs. My goal weight is 150lbs.

I do not have a gym pass or have a bunch of money to spend on weight loss pills and solutions. I will be losing the weight the hard way, by counting my calories and SWEATING!!!

Others thing you may need to know about me – I am a recent University graduate and am looking for a job in my related field (although I have pretty good job in the mean time). I am currently living at home with my parents, on an island in the Pacific. I am currently single (and looking).

My weight loss goals:
lose 50lbs
have tone arms – and lose the “granny go bye-bye” look
have a tone and flat stomach

My mini-life goals:
obtain a job related to my degree
get out on the dating seen
take a tropical vacation

Until next time. . . .
